It’s finally over!!!!!!
Thandi recently underwent a unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) spinal procedure.
After years of enduring severe sciatic nerve pain, Thandi had to admit that conservative treatment was failing to appropriately address the issue of her slipped disc. Surgery became her only option. She welcomed the opportunity to end her pain, as well as regain her mobility and improve her overall quality of life.
The operation was a success!
Thandi is now beginning to rebuild her life again in the absence of disability (well, this specific one at least).
Pain and chronic stress directly amplify PDA symptoms. Unrelenting sciatica meant Thandi lived with a baseline level of physical and mental overwhelm every single day. Because her nervous system was already operating at maximum capacity just managing the pain, additional demands became far too heavy to carry.
Now that the surgery has successfully removed that constant drain, Thandi feels like a fundamentally different person. She is less grouchy, can stay on her feet for more than five minutes at a time, and finally has renewed mental capacity.
Please allow her time to get back to you as she adjusts to this new chapter and works through her communication backlog.
